The Waterfall
Kitchen Island
A single continuous slab that wraps from the countertop surface down the full height of the island sides – no cabinet face, no toe kick, just uninterrupted stone. The effect is architectural: the island reads as a monolith rather than furniture.
Calacatta marble and large-format porcelain slabs are the materials of choice, both for their dramatic veining and because their book-matched patterns can be mirrored across the waterfall edge for perfect symmetry. Sintered stone is the low-maintenance alternative that holds its surface in a high-use kitchen without sealing.
